In August, Mike did something that was definitely a first for him…taking a Hot Air Balloon ride!
A bunch of friends and family gathered at the Fort Macleod Airport on an early Monday morning, hoping to beat any wind that might be coming.
It is quite the process to get everything ready to go! But with all the help, they were able to get Mike into the basket and the balloon up and ready to go.
Unfortunately, the sky was smokey that day. But there is nothing to be done about that, and they all enjoyed a short flight before the wind picked up.
When the wind picked up, it was time to get the balloon down. They were able to set it down in a field just north of Bert and Andrelei’s farm, and the van met them there.
Another fantastic experience for Mike that was all made possible with the help of his friends and William!
