I know…such a cheesy title…😎🙈
Crystal Springs Cheese
The Beyer Family, Evert and Jannie, are long time friends of Mike and Stephanie and their family. On Wednesday, Mike was able to go tour their business, Crystal Springs Cheese, with a group of seniors and the usual crew – William, Frans, and John.

They were able to tour the cheese factory and see how they make cheese and cottage cheese. And Mike got to visit with a lot of people he knew! It was an interesting afternoon with a lot to see.

Peak and Pastures Ranch
On Friday, Mike, William and Dad visited Theo Beyer (Evert and Jannie’s son) at the farm he and his wife Amanda own, Peak and Pastures Ranch. This is a Water Buffalo Ranch and if you are interested in learning more about this, check out their Instagram and Facebook pages!

Mike was happy to get right into the pen and pet these large animals…they are quite tame! After spending some time in the field, they headed inside where they were able to taste some buffalo milk and check out what foods Theo and Amanda make from their unique farm!

They also have another business, The Crunchy Cow, where Amanda makes ice cream, freeze dried ice cream and yogurt, and other delicious food from A2 milk! The freeze dried ice cream (pictured below) is my favorite 👌.

After this very enjoyable experience, Mike requested to end the day with a coffee stop at Tim Hortons. Mike loves to go to Tim Hortons or McDonalds for coffee, where whoever is with him gives him coffee through his tube, and he can people watch and watch the cars on the highway. Being in a small town, he will also run into people he knows at these places as well!

Great Uncles and Aunts
Mike has always loved visiting with Dad’s uncles and aunts. Earlier this week, Mike, William and Dad drove to Picture Butte area to Uncle Jack and Aunt Mary’s place. Uncle Harry and Aunt Julianne were visiting from Chilliwack, so this was a great time to visit! (Fun Fact – these are also Williams great Uncles and Aunts)

Naturally, they ended up checking out tractors, talking about tractors, and reminiscing about “back in the days”…

It was a very busy, but fantastic week for Mike….and I didn’t even mention the hike just outside of Waterton with Adaptable Outdoors! Below is the link to the Reel I made with some video of that!
