Mike's Journey

Royal Tyrell Museum, Drumheller

Posted on May 17, 2026 By Melissa

This past Tuesday, Mike, William, Frans and John headed out for the 3 hour drive to check out the Royal Tyrell Museum in Drumheller. For those who haven’t been there, this museum features one of the world’s largest displays of dinosaurs!

After checking out the dinosaurs and all the other neat things at the museum, they headed out to the Star Mine Suspension Bridge. This bridge was originally built in 1931 for miners to get to work.

I get the feeling William doesn’t love suspension bridges…he said, “I offered for Frans to take Mike across the bridge and I would stay behind with John…but no, Mike wanted me to push him. I could feel my stomach bounce and see the rushing water under us.”

Mike didn’t mind the swaying and bouncing at all, and I have a feeling he was very aware of how much William did not want to go on that bridge, which is why he insisted on William pushing him on the bridge😂.

On Thursday, Mike went to the Blue Rein Ranch to check out the animals and visit with Marvin and Erica.

While visiting, they started talking about the neighbors shop and how they were doing some construction there. Mike was interested in that, so they headed over to check out the shop.

This shop has an elevator to get to the upper level, so Mike was able to try that out as well as a swing they had in there!

Mike also visited his cousin Dustin’s farm, Windy Creek Dairy earlier in the week. Mike’s week was busy and adventurous, just the way he likes it!

Many thanks as always to all those who following along with Mike’s updates and to all who donate to help keep William working with Mike!! We are all so grateful for all of you ❤️
